“Rumbler” Low-Frequency Sirens

Federal Signal sells ‘rumblers’ –  a type of siren that emits a low-frequency soundwave:

Apparently this low frequency sound can travel very far, and can penetrate into neighbouring buildings. Rumblers are installed on the Dodge Charger patrol vehicles being used by VPD
